1. Acceptance of these terms

By using Degoku (the “Site”), you agree to these “Terms”, our Privacy Policy, and Disclaimer. If you cannot accept them, discontinue use immediately.

Degoku publishes editorial commentary on roughly fifty spotlighted books. We may amend these Terms; the posted revision date controls.

2. Use of the Site

You agree to lawful, respectful use of the Site. Prohibited conduct includes:

  • Use the Site in any way that may damage, disable, overburden, or impair Degoku or interfere with any other party's use of it.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Site, our systems, or our networks.
  • Use any robot, spider, scraper, or other automated means to access the Site for any purpose without our express prior written consent.
  • Use the Site to transmit any unlawful, harmful, threatening, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable material.
  • Reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, resell, or exploit any portion of the Site without our prior written permission.

3. Editorial content

Editorial pages express Degoku opinions at publication time. They are not legal, medical, psychological, financial, or investment advice even when summarizing books that touch those topics.

Metadata, covers, and outbound commerce links may change without notice; always verify bibliographic details before purchasing.

4. Intellectual property

Degoku-owned prose, layouts, logos, gradients, and UI copy are protected by copyright and related rights unless otherwise noted.

Third-party titles, names, and cover art remain with their owners; Degoku uses them nominatively for commentary and discovery.

Link freely; quote brief excerpts with attribution; seek written permission before mirroring substantial portions of the Site.

5. No file hosting or distribution

Degoku never supplies downloadable copyrighted books. Acquisition happens solely under third-party terms once you leave degoku.com.

6. Third-party links

Outbound references may include retailers, libraries, or archives; Degoku is not responsible for pricing, availability, malware, or policy changes on those domains.

7. Advertising

Ads, if shown, fund hosting; they are not editorial endorsements. Interactions with advertisers are solely between you and them.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The Site is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent allowed in your jurisdiction.

We do not guarantee uptime, error-free HTML, or real-time accuracy of third-party metadata mirrored on our pages.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted, Degoku and its team disclaim indirect and consequential damages arising from Site use.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify Degoku against claims stemming from your misuse of the Site, your content submissions, or your violation of third-party rights.

11. Governing law

Governing law and venue follow the primary place from which Degoku is administered unless mandatory local law says otherwise; consult counsel if you need jurisdictional certainty.

12. Changes to these Terms

Material updates will be noted by changing the "Last updated" line; continued browsing after posting means you accept the revision.
